The Oakland A’s did not wear numbers on the front of their jerseys during the regular season. The front numbers were added for the playoffs and World Series. The A’s were World Champs in 1972. Bert Campaneris was a six time All-Star and a three time World Series Champion with the A’s. Inside the front tail is the “McAuliffe” manufacturer’s tag. Above is the year “1972” and below is the size “38”. Inside the left front tail is a wash instructions tag. On front is the team “A’s” logo. Player number “19” appears on both the front which was added for the playoffs and World Series as well as on the back. All these numbers and letters are done in white on green tackle twill. Player name “CAMPANERIS” appears on back in green tackle twill. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows excellent use. Other than what is mentioned, there appear to be no further alterations of any kind.
