“Adidas” manufactured Official NASL soccer ball accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Ane Mihailovich which states, in part, “This is the game ball from a 1979 NASL playoff match between the Washington Diplomats for whom I played and the LA Aztecs. The match was held on 8/19/1979 at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC…at the end of regulation, the match was tied 3-3…as the first OT period was ending, John Cruyff scored the game and series winning goal ending the Diplomats season…the ball remained in the goal as my Diplomat teammates left the field…I retrieved the ball and took it to our dressing room where I had the entire team sign it…it shows tremendous game-use.” The ball is signed by many Diplomat players including Mike Dillon, Paul Cannell and others in blue ink which are somewhat faded and some unable to make out. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA as well as a LOA from Ane Mihailovich.
