Though HOFer Gail Goodrich was often told in his early days that he was too small to play ball at the next level, the fiery lefthander invariably proved his critics wrong. He responded to his detractors' remarks with perseverance, discipline, and improvement--all typical Goodrich traits. In a career that spanned 1,031 games in 14 NBA seasons, he scored 18.6 points per contest and was a five-time All-Star. He was also the leading scorer on one of the greatest teams in NBA history, the 1971-72 NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers. Basketball Hall of Fame, class of 1996. There are no manufacturer’s tags present. This jersey was a 1969-70 Johnny Egan jersey that had a name and number change done by the team and was changed to a 1970-71 Goodrich shirt. Across the front of this knit road jersey is “LAKERS” done in gold on white tackle twill. Player number “25” appears on both the front and back in white on gold tackle twill which is a number change from number “21” done by the team. Player name “GOODRICH” appears across the back in gold on white tackle twill which is a name change done by the team. There is a name change on back. The jersey shows game-use and other than what is mentioned appears to have no further alterations of any kind.
