Happy Hairston was a member of 1971–72 NBA Championship Lakers team that won 33 games in a row, a record not duplicated in any other American professional sport. During his 11 seasons in the NBA, Hairston averaged 14.8 points and 10.3 rebounds. On the center front tail of this cheese cloth home jersey is the “Tiernan” manufacturer’s tag. Across the front is “LAKERS” done in purple on white tackle twill. On both the front and back is player number “52” done in white on purple tackle twill. Player name “HAIRSTON” appears across the back on purple on white tackle twill sewn directly on the shirt. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
