These basketball jerseys from this era are an extremely rare to find. Kirk Haynes is a member of the Mississippi sports hall of fame. On the inner rear collar of the road basketball shirt is the “Lowe & Campbell” manufacturer’s tag. Across the front is “OLE MISS”. Player number “7” appears on both the front and back. All numbers and letters are done in red felt. Inside the front tail of the home white basketball jersey is the “”Lowe & Campbell” manufacturer’s tag with size “36”. Across the front is “OLE MISS” in blue felt. Player number “7” appears on front and back in red felt. Both jerseys feature large team repairs as well as a few holes. The home jersey is heavily sweat stained. The football jersey is wool, navy blue and features long sleeves. It was issued to Bob Jones and worn by Kirk Haynes. Inside the left front tail is the “O’Shea” manufacturer’s tag with size “40”. Player number “3” appears on both the front and back in white felt. There are several holes throughout and the sweater appears to have been sewn together across the middle. The jerseys show game-use and other than what is mentioned appear to have no further alterations of any kind. Originates from the Haynes Estate.
