Fatty Taylor joined the ABA in 1969. After one year playing for the Washington Capitals, he moved on to the Virginia Squires with whom he spent the prime of his career, tallying 3,495 points, 1,737 assists, and 1,715 rebounds in five seasons. For one-and-a-half seasons Taylor was a teammate of George Gervin, and Taylor has been credited with coining Gervin’s nickname “The Iceman”. Inside the left seam is the “Pearson” manufacturer’s tag. Across the front is “SQUIRES”. Player number “14” appears on both the front and back. Player name “TAYLOR” appears across the back on a white nameplate. All numbers and letters are done in red on blue tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
