Fly Sheet (offers protection from biting flies, keeps horse cool as well as prevents coat from fading in sun) in which Big Brown wore during his victory at the 2008 Haskell Invitational Handicap which had a purse of $1,000,000. Big Brown took the early lead, was then passed by Coal Play only to turn on his jets again very late in the race to win by less than two lengths with an official Beyer Speed of 107. It has been said that this race was more so from heart than shear physical ability. Towards the top of each side is the “HASKELL 2008 INVITATIONAL” symbol with “HASKELL” done in dark on light green embroidery, and “2008 INVITATIONAL” done in black embroidery underlined in dark green. Below that on each side is “GRADE 1 PURSE 1,000,000” done in black embroidery. Below that on each side is the horse name “BIG BROWN” also done in black embroidery. The “Whips International” manufacturer’s tag appears on the front left below the bottom chest fastener. The fly sheet measures 72”.
