A battle of epic proportions later dubbed “The Rumble In The Jungle”, was one of the most memorable events in athletic history. The event was one of Don Kings first ventures as a professional boxing promoter in which he got both athletes to sign separate contracts saying they would fight for him if he could get $5,000,000 to their pay. Early in the fight, Ali altered fight plans and began to use his “rope a dope” tactic to end up knocking out a younger and favored Foreman in the eighth round shocking most of the world. The poster is framed in black to measure 34” x 48”. The top reads “FROM SLAVESHIP TO CHAMPIONSHIP” in large bold black lettering. The poster offered here, depicts Africans in slave chains with a ship in their background and was considered to be so controversial that it was pulled shortly after production. This fact leaves very few copies to exist today. The poster itself looks to be in NRMT condition through its frame which is in VG condition overall with minor scratches. Item will be expensive to ship due to weight and fragility.
