Joe Theismann achieved his most enduring fame in his 12 seasons playing for the Washington Redskins, where he was a two-time Pro Bowler and quarterback of the winning team in Super Bowl XVII. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003. On the left front tail is the “Russell” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “40”. On the front, back and on both sleeves is player number “7” painted on in red numbers with a yellow border. Player name “THEISMANN” appears on back in heat transferred red block numbers on a white nameplate. The jersey shows light quarterback use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
