Framed and matted to measure 10” x 12”, this 8” x 10” letter is dated “October 25, 1983”. It is addressed to “Mr. Haywood Sullivan, General Manager Boston Red Sox”. The body begins, “Effective immediately, please place my name on the Voluntary Retirement list. (signed) Carl M. Yastrzemski”. The signature is done in blue ink rating a near perfect 10. The letter appears to be in NM overall condition and is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
