Thurman Munson’s personal copy of his 1975 supplemental Yankee contract proposed and boldly signed by George Steinbrenner. Because Munson did not accept his initial contract offer for $80,000.00 to which this was tied to, the Yankee captain did not sign it as he continued his negotiations for more pay. This document remained in the Munson family until the recent sale of Munson’s estate, and it comes with a copy of a letter from Diana Munson attesting to its origins. It is signed by Yankees owner “G.M. Steinbrenner in blue ink rating a 9. A uniquely signed Steinbrenner item related directly to the tragic Yankee catcher. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
