A fountain pen signature is typically much rarer and more desirable than a ballpoint ink signature. Oddly enough, for Babe Ruth, authentic ballpoint signatures are extremely scarce as they could only have been signed at the very end of Babe's life, when almost all autographs are secretarial. This 3-1/2” x 2” business card has been signed perfectly in bold blue ballpoint ink with the autograph rating a 9. It has been dated “Aug. 21, 1947” in black fountain pen and reads “Billings, Montana” in pencil along the top. The card has been presented on a 4” x 6” piece of black cardstock, the lower panel features a photo of Babe with the person for whom this was signed. Backed by PSA/DNA.
