A rare jersey from this era of baseball, a teammate of Ty Cobb. Inside the rear collar is the “Spalding” manufacturer’s tag. Attached is a blank white tag. On the left breast is the Detroit Old English “D” which has been professionally restored using vintage navy blue felt. On the right rear tail is the player’s name “Cole” embroidered in blue chain stitch. The shirt features a sun collar. Both the sleeves and front tail of this heavy, grey flannel jersey have been cut. The jersey shows game-use and other than what is mentioned appears to have no further alterations of any kind.
