Fergie was enshrined in Cooperstown in 1991. Inside the rear collar is the “McAuliffe” manufacturer’s tag. Sewn directly below is the size “48” tag. On the center front tail is the year tag, “1976” with a wash instructions label. Across the front is “RED SOX”. Player number “31 appears across the back. All these numbers and letters are done in red on navy blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Massachusetts Bicentennial embroidered patch. Jenkins has signed the front in blue marker adding the inscription “GAMER 1976 HOF 7/21/91” rating an 8. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. It is accompanied by a LOA from JSA as well as by an additional LOA. It was worn half the season prior to Tom Yawkey dying as there is no armband present.
