This jersey was given to Wayne Krenchicki by 1985 Cincinnati Reds teammate and manager Pete Rose. 1985 was the year Rose was a player-manager for the Reds and broke Ty Cobb’s lifetime hits record of 4191. On the left front tail is the “W.A. Goodman & Sons” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “44”. On the left breast is the “Reds” team logo patch done in white on red tackle twill. Player/Manager number “14” appears on both the front and back. Player/Manager name “ROSE” appears across the back. All numbers and letters are done in red on white tackle twill. Rose has signed the front in blue marker rating a 5-6 that is faded. The jersey shows game-use appears to have no alterations of any kind. It is accompanied by a letter of provenance from Rose’s teammate in 1985, Wayne Krenchicki as well as a LOA from JSA for the signature.
