On the left front tail is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “42”. Inside the rear collar is a strip tag with “Lock 67” done in black chain stitch. Across the front is “Phillies”. On back is player number “23”. All these numbers and letters are done in burgundy embroidery with a white border. On the left sleeve is the MLB 100TH Anniversary patch. The presence of this patch indicates that the shirt was manufactured in 1967 and worn by Lock that year through 1969 when the team added the 100th Anniversary patch. Don Lock played three seasons in Philadelphia, 1967, 1968 and 1969. The back numbers show tremendous wear. The jersey shows great game-use with undershirt staining under the arm pits and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
