The Boston Garden was built in 1928 by the City of Boston on Causeway street. The 15,000 seat facility quickly became Boston’s “sports temple" and was most famous for being the home to the Celtics and Bruins. It was demolished in November, 1997 but its legend lives on with the many fans that sat in its seats and cheered on their teams. This seat is in original, unaltered condition thus preserving its full heritage and character. It measures 34” high, 19” across and 14” deep. Wooden slat back chair, number “2” on the top slat in white. The paint has chipped away in some spots revealing the original wood. Hall of Famer Larry Bird has signed the front slat in black marker rating an 8-9. Accompanied by a full LOA from JSA, sticker on back #X03812. This lot will be expensive to ship due to size and weight.
