David Robinson joined the Spurs for the 1989–90 season, and led San Antonio to the greatest single season turnaround in NBA history at the time. They advanced to the second round of the Western Conference playoffs where they lost in seven games to the eventual conference champion Portland Trail Blazers. The Spurs made the playoffs seven more seasons in a row. Robinson also made the 1992 US Olympic Dream Team that won the gold medal in Barcelona. Robinson went on to win the MVP trophy in 1995, and in 1996 he was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History. On the front left tail is the "Champion" manufacturers size 50 tag with wash instructions. Adjacent is another Champion "Designed & Tailored 96/97 Exclusively for San Antonio Spurs BODY LENGTH +4" tag. Across the front is "SPURS" in white on black on grey triple tackle twill. Below that and on the back is the player number "50" in white on grey tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "ROBINSON" in white tackle twill. On the left breast is the official gold "NBA 50th Anniversary” embroidered logo. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
