The NBA's Defensive Player of the Year Award is an annual award given since the 1982–83 NBA season to the top defensive player of the regular season. The winner is selected by a panel of 124 sportswriters and broadcasters, each of whom casts a vote for first, second and third place selections. Since its inception, the award has been given to 16 different players with Dennis Rodman winning the prestigious award twice. This is Dennis Rodman’s 1990-91 Defensive Player of the Year Award. The wooden frame measures 12-1/2” x 15-1/2” and has a red velour backing. On the front is a wooden cutout of the official NBA logo. Below is a gold plaque with “1990-91 Defensive Player of the Year DENNIS RODMAN Detroit Pistons Presented by Master Lock”. The award is in NM overall condition and is accompanied by a LOA from Dennis Rodman.
