This jacket was consigned to us directly from Lynn Shackelford, a starting forward for the UCLA Bruins from 1967 to 1969 under the legendary coach and Hall of Famer, John Wooden. UCLA teams coached by John Wooden won 10 national titles in 12 seasons from 1964 to 1975, including seven straight from 1967 to 1973. UCLA went undefeated a record four times, in 1964, 1967, 1972, and 1973. Shackelford played one season in the American Basketball Association as a member of the Miami Floridians. He was later a broadcaster for ESPN, CBS, and NBC. On the inside back collar is the “Whiting Los Angeles” size 44 manufacturers tag. On the inside front tail is a white leather strip tag with “SHACKELFORD” in gold print. On the left breast is “UCLA” in gold chenille in a navy blue chenille letter “C” patch. The jacket shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from Lynn Shackelford.
