Hall of Famer Dennis Johnson spent half of his illustrious 14 year career in Boston, where he won two NBA Championships alongside Larry Bird. Known as a clutch player, Johnson more than once single-handedly affected the outcome of big games. His ball steal from Magic Johnson in the waning seconds of Game 7 of the 1984 NBA Finals, which put the nail in the Lakers coffin, is perhaps the biggest of his big moments. In recognition of all that he did for the Celtics, the organization has retired his number 3, which hangs in the rafters at The Garden. This piece of the old Boston Garden parquet floor was presented to Johnson by the Celtics organization after he retired from basketball in 1990. The attached plaque reads “DENNIS JOHNSON BOSTON CELTICS 1983-1990”. It has been framed to an overall size of 13” x 15” and is in overall VG condition. It was obtained directly from the Johnson family and will come with their LOA.
