After crushing the powerful Los Angeles Lakers the previous year in a four game NBA Finals series, the Pistons would show the world that they were for real, pounding the Portland Trail Blazers 4 games to 1 in the 1990 NBA Championship Series, again becoming NBA World Champions. This gorgeous, solid size 10.25, 10K yellow gold ring weighs just under 35-grams, comes in the original wood Detroit Pistons presentation box and is identical in everyway, with exception of the diamonds, to what Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Dennis Rodman, John Salley, Bill Laimbeer, James Edwards, Mark Aquirre, and Head-Coach Chuck Daly received. It was issued to a member of the Detroit Pistons Front Office. Made by Balfour, it has the original markings stamped inside ("LGB" for Balfour and "10K" for the gold content"), as well as the Balfour information and specs sticker on the bottom of the wood box. This rare, authentic award is in fantastic EXMT condition, especially for being two decades old. This championship ring would make a great memento of that Pistons dynasty, which finished with an impressive 59-23 record that year, and was considered one of the truly greatest defensive teams of all-time.
