This entire lot comes to us from the personal collection of Joe Morgan. Inside the rear waistband of the 1984 Oakland A’s home pants is the “Wilson” tag with size “32.” Adjacent is a strip tag with “84 32 23 8.” Joe has signed the front in blue marker with inscription “HOF 90 Gamer!” In blue marker rating an 8-9. They show game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind; the sliding shorts are “Mizuno” with player number “8” written in black marker. Joe has signed the front is blue marker with inscription “HOF ’90 My Sliding Pads!” rating an 8; pair of “Mizuno” batting gloves, each showing great use, each autographed and inscribed “HOF ‘90” in blue marker rating a 7; pair or Phillies burgundy game-used stirrups are also included. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA as well as a hand-signed LOA from Joe Morgan himself.
