Carl Michael "Yaz" Yastrzemski had a 23-year career with the Boston Red Sox. Primarily a left fielder, he played some first base and served as a designated hitter as he aged. The last American league Triple Crown winner (1967) and an 18 time all-star, "Yaz" is the Red Sox leader in career RBIs, runs, hits, singles, doubles, total bases, and games played. On the front left tail is the "McAULIFFE" manufacturer's tag. Below is the size "42" tag. Above the manufacturer's tag is a "1972" year tag. Across the front is "RED SOX" in red on navy blue felt. On back is the player number "8" in red on blue felt. The jersey shows light but definite game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. It is in absolute magnificent condition.
