The NY Nets franchise was established in 1967 as a part of the ABA. By 1974, the team had already won its first championship. They continued their winning ways in the 1975-76 season, the final season for the ABA, with Dr. J Julius Erving leading them to a successful 55-win season; he also was named league MVP that year. After a grueling series with the Denver Nuggets, the Nets won the last ABA championship series in league history in six games, giving the Nets their second championship in three years. This size 12-1/2 ring is cast in yellow gold. Around the top perimeter is "ABA World Champions NY Nets" in relief. In the top center, a large, round genuine diamond has been set and is surrounded by smaller diamond chips. On the right shank is the player name "WILLIAMSON" in relief, below which is the Nets logo in relief, below which is stamped the ABA logo. On the left shank is "THE GOLD AGAIN” along with “NETS/NUGGETS 112-108 4-2 NETS 4 SPURS 3” and “1976,” all in relief. Overall EX condition light wear and scuffing from being worn.
