In 1968, Los Angeles lost Goodrich to the Phoenix Suns in the expansion draft, and he quickly became the star of the new franchise and a favorite among Suns fans. A starter for the first time in his NBA career, Goodrich scored 23.8 ppg in 1968-69, tops on his team and sixth in the league. He surprised critics who had labeled him a gunner by ranking seventh in assists with 6.4 per game and was also selected to play in the 1969 NBA All-Star Game. On the left front tail is the "Spanjian" manufacturers wash tag with the jersey size "42" on it. Attached is a “L” flag tag. Across the front is "PHOENIX." Below that and on the back is the player number "25." The name on back has been removed but the outline remains. All numbering and lettering is done in orange on white tackle twill. On the inside back of the shorts is the "Spanjian" manufacturers wash tag with the shorts size "30" on it. The player number “25” is written on this tag in red marker. The player number “25” is also embroidered in the front inside of the shorts. The “SUNS” logo patch is on each leg of the shorts in purple on white tackle twill on a orange on white tackle twill patch. The uniform shows game-use and besides having the name on back removed appears to have no alterations of any kind. An additional LOA will be provided.
