Nicknamed “The Big O”, Oscar Robertson is regarded as one of the most versatile players of all time. He was a twelve time All-Star, member of eleven All-NBA teams and won the league MVP in 1964. Perhaps his greatest individual accomplishment is that he is the only player in league history to average a triple-double for an entire season. He was instrumental in bringing the Bucks their only NBA Championship in 1970-71. Robertson was enshrined into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980 and in 1996 was named one of the NBA’s 50 Greatest Players of all time. On the left front tail is the “Sand-Knit” manufacturers tag with wash instructions and jersey size “42.” Sewn directly above are two additional “Sand-Knit” manufacturers tags, the first has “MILWAUKEE SPORTING GOODS MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN” and the second has “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Milwaukee Bucks.” Across the front is the city name “Milwaukee.” Player number “1” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in single fabric red and white vinyl. Player name “ROBERTSON” appears across the back sewn directly on the shirt done in red vinyl on white vinyl block letters. On front there is an inscription “Big O” and on the back number, a signature “Oscar Robertson”, both done in black marker rating strong 9’s. Robertson’s full signature is very rare, much less the added “Big O” inscription. The jersey shows good game-use with crackling of the vinyl lettering and appears to have no alterations of any kind. This shirt is accompanied by a LOA stating it came from the collection of an NBA franchise owner as well as by a LOA from JSA.
