Louie Dampier was a multi-sport athlete at the University of Kentucky, playing baseball as well as basketball. Playing under the legendary coach Adolph Rupp, Dampier and Pat Riley led the Wildcats to the 1966 NCAA championship game. As a pro, Dampier played the entire nine years of the ABA's lifespan with the charter Kentucky Colonels, moving to the NBA's Spurs in 1977 after the merger. On the back inside collar of the jacket is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's size 40 tag. Attached below is a flag tag that reads "1" Longer." On the left breast is the "Colonels" logo in red, white, and blue embroidery and tackle twill with "1975 ABA Champs" added in red embroidery. Across the back of the jacket is "LOUIE" in white tackle twill. The jacket shows nice wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
