Jumping to the rival ABA from the NBA in 1968, Rick Barry was the first dominant force and marquee name in the new league. Two years after acquiring Barry from the Washington Caps, the 1972 NY Nets advanced to the ABA finals, with Barry returning to the NBA after that storied season. This rare trophy was presented to HOFer Rick Barry as a member of the 1972 ABA All-Star (All-League) Team, an honor he held three times in the ABA. Standing atop a 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" x 3-3/4" wood base is a chromed 11" basketball player tossing a hook shot, for a total height of 14-3/4". Front silvered plaque reads "Rick Barry, ABA All-League Team, 1972." Trophy is in EXMT condition with some minor nicks to the wood base and some tarnishing to the top figure.
