Michael Ray Richardson was billed as "the next Walt Frazier" and was drafted by the Knicks in 1978. In his second year, he became the first player in NBA history to lead the league in both assists (10.1) and steals (3.2), setting Knicks franchise records in both categories. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Sand-Knit" New York Knicks exclusive tag. Next to that is an additional "Gerry Cosby" manufacturer's tag with the jersey a size "40" flag tag attached. Across the front of the jersey is "KNICKS" in red on navy tackle twill. Above that and on the back is the player number "20" in red on navy tackle twill. Across the back is "RICHARDSON" in the same tackle twill. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
