Established in 1959, the actual Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame opened to the public in 1968 and is now housed in its third edifice. This 24 page 10-1/2" x 13" rare program dates from the first enshrinement at the original building, the cover reads "Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Official Enshrinement, Tuesday, April 16, 1968." On the cover are portraits of that year's four enshrinees: Clair Bee (contributor) and coaches Howard Cann, Amory "Slats" Gill and Alvin "Doggie" Julian. Great vintage photos, images and information inside, the program is in EXMT condition with light yellowing and some wear on the top edge.
