Alongside teammate Bill Russell (HOF) at the University of San Francisco, KC Jones (HOF) helped lead the Dons to consecutive NCAA Championships in 1955 and 1956 for HOF coach Phil Woolpert. Playing again with Russell on the gold medal winning 1956 U.S. Olympic Basketball Team, he spent nine seasons with the Boston Celtics and was part of eight World Championships from 1959-1966. He was third in most championship rings as a player, behind only Celtics teammates Russell and Sam Jones. Making a huge impact as a scrapping, hustling player, KC Jones was a hard-nosed, play-making guard and defensive specialist. As a coach, Jones steered the Celtics to the 1984 and 1986 NBA championships, and added two more championship rings to his distinguished career. It would be hard to find a basketball personality who has had more success as a player and a coach than K.C. Jones. There are no manufacturer's tags inside this green shooting shirt. Across the front of the top is "BOSTON" in white tackle twill. On the back of the shirt is the player number "25" in white tackle twill. The top is signed on front in silver marker and rates an 8. The shooting shirt shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
