Check dated July 3, 1959 made out to "Supt. of Documents" for 95 cents and signed in black ink by NASA astronaut Gus Grissom, who signed "Virgil I. Grissom." He was the second American astronaut and one of the first to die in the U.S. space program, in the Apollo 1 fire in 1967. Check shows one fold and minor paper loss on the left edge, overall EX condition with signature that grades an 8 to 9. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
