Typed letter on White House stationary dated October 16, 1959, signed in black fountain pen by President Dwight D. Eisenhower during his tenure in office. Content regards golf and reads in part, "Thank you so much for your kindness in sending me a dozen Wilson golf balls as a birthday gift. I am anxious to see if they will improve my game (which I seriously doubt)." Matted and framed to 16-1/2" x 25" with a black and white 8" x 10" photo of Ike at Augusta. Letter has one center fold, large signature grades a 9 to 10. Also included is an 11" x 14" black and white photo matted and framed to approximately 17" x 20" of legendary golfer Bobby Jones at the U.S. Open in the 1920. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
