Leo Durocher was a "good-field, no-hit" shortstop for 17 years, but gained his greatest notoriety for accomplishments after his playing days. His combative and swashbuckling style, brilliant baseball mind, uncanny memory and fiery disposition became "The Lip’s" trademarks as a colorful and controversial manager for 24 seasons with the Dodgers, Giants, Cubs and Astros. He compiled 2,009 wins in 3,740 games, captured three pennants and won the World Series in 1954. He was named Manager of the Year three times by the "Sporting News". In the neck of the jersey is "MacGregor" label which includes the size "44." Below this tag is a felt strip tag with "Durocher 2" chain stitched in red. On the inside left front tail is the flag tag reading "Set 2 1954." Across the front of the jersey is the name "NEW YORK" in black on orange tackle. On the back of the shirt is the player number "2" in black on orange tackle twill. The jersey shows light wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
