Throughout the homestand (September 6-11, 2005) in tribute to the efforts of organizations working to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina, the Yankees wore Salvation Army patches on the right sleeves of their uniform shirts. On the front left tail of Wil Nieves #60 jersey is the "Majestic" manufacturers tag with a series of flag tags attached reading size "46" and another tag that reads "2005". On the front left tail of Jorge De Paula #61 jersey is the "Majestic" manufacturers tag with a series of flag tags attached reading size "50" and another tag that reads "2005".On the front left tail of Carl Pavano #45 jersey is the "Majestic" manufacturers tag with a series of flag tags attached reading size "52", "+2 body", and another tag that reads "2005".On the front left tail of Wayne Franklin #48 jersey is the "Majestic" manufacturers tag with a series of flag tags attached reading size "48", and another tag that reads "2005". On the front left tail of Alan Embree #46 jersey is the "Majestic" manufacturers tag with a series of flag tags attached reading size "48", "+2 body", and another tag that reads "2005". Inside the left seam of every jersey is a wash tag with code "0062" on it. On the left breast of the jersey is the "NY" logo in navy blue tackle twill. On the back of each jersey is the player number in navy blue tackle twill. On the back outside collar is the embroidered official "MLB" logo. On the right sleeve is the "Salvation Army" patch.
