The XVIth Olympiad was held in Melbourne, Australia in 1956. Led by HOFer Bill Russell, the U.S. basketball squad captured a gold medal with an 8-0 performance. Included are two programs (different dates) and a ticket stub from the basketball events; the programs are all complete and tight with light wear, one has some pencil writing on the cover, overall EXMT condition. The ticket stub comes in a "Bank of South Wales" paper ticket holder along with a map of inner Melbourne, ticket has a center fold and is missing upper left corner, overall EX condition.
