This size 15+ Muhammad Ali World Champion ring is cast in 10K yellow gold and was made up for a member of Ali's entourage to commemorate Ali's victory over George Foreman in the 1974 "Rumble In The Jungle" bout, and the tenth anniversary of his first heavyweight championship victory over Sonny Liston in 1964. On the top perimeter in gold letters is "World Champion" and two Muslim "crescent moon and star" logos in relief. On the top center set atop a red stone is a large round synthetic diamond set in a white metal buckle, with the Muslim "crescent moon and star" logo. On the top left shank is a raised gold banner engraved with the recipient's name "Wells," ostensibly George Wells, a member of Ali's entourage. Below this a gold boxing glove in relief that reads "Ali TKO Liston 6," and below this in relief is the year "1964" in gold numbers. On the top right shank is a raised gold banner engraved with "Muhammad Ali." Below this a gold shield in relief engraved with "Ali KO Foreman 8" surrounded by laurel leaves, and below this in relief is the year "1974" in gold numbers. On the inside of the ring is stamped "10K." Ring shows light wear and is in overall EXMT-NRMT condition. There are less than six of these Wells rings known.
