Julius Erving, the great and wondrous "Dr. J," was the dominant player of his era, an innovator who changed the way the game was played. He was a wizard with the ball, performing feats never before seen: midair spins and whirls punctuated by powerful slam dunks. Erving was one of the first players to make extemporaneous individual expression an integral part of the game, setting the style of play that would prevail in the decades to follow. Dr. J was a true ambassador for the game. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "MacGregor Sand-Knit Philadelphia 76ers" manufacturer's tag. Below that is an additional "MacGregor Sand-Knit" manufacturer's tag with the jersey size "40" on it. Next to that is another tag that reads 2" L.B. Across the front of the jersey is "SIXERS" in blue on red tackle twill. Below that and on the back is the player number "6" in blue on red tackle twill. On the upper left breast is the embroidered official NBA logo. Across the back is "ERVING" in blue tackle twill. The jersey shows good game-use and there appears to be no alterations of any kind.
