Joe Morrison played for the Giants, where he played at the positions of running back and wide receiver. He had a long career with the Giants, playing from 1959 to 1972. He holds the Giants' team record for receptions, with 395 catches, from seven different quarterbacks; over his career his plays gained 4,993 yards. His team number, Number 40, has been retired by the Giants.
There are no manufacturer's tags still attached to this jersey. On front, back, and both sleeves is the player's number "40" in white tackle twill. All of the "0" on the jersey are not the original number, but all of the "4" are original. The crotch piece has been removed. It shows nice game use with many small rips and besides the team number change and missing crotch piece, appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
