Considered to be one of the greatest team leaders in the history of professional sports, "The Captain" Mark Messier was simply that. He made good players great and great players supreme. Over the course of his more than two decades on the ice, "Mess" won six Stanley Cups, five of them with the Edmonton Oilers while scoring 1887 points in 1756 games. The future Hall of Famer won two Hart trophy's, one Conn Smythe trophy and will go down as one of one of the greatest to ever lace 'em up. Inside the rear collar is the "CCM Maska" manufacturers tag with wash instructions and jersey size "54" written on the tag in blue ink. On the front of the jersey os the "Oilers" official team logo patch. On the left breast is the letter "C" for Captain done in orange on blue on white tackle twill. On the back and on both sleeves is player number "11" also done in orange on blue on white tackle twill. Player name "MESSIER" appears on the back in white tackle twill on a blue nameplate. On the rear outer tail is "CCM" on three individual embroidered tags. The fighting strap is fully intact. The jersey shows excellent game-use with black stick and hit marks all across the front as well as on the back numbers. Appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from Milt Byron.
