In a pre-game ceremony at Yankee Stadium on September 6, 2005, the New York Yankees, represented by Team President Randy Levine, Chief Operating Officer Lonn Trost, and outfielder Matt Lawton (who resides in Mississippi), presented a check for $1 million dollars to the Salvation Army for its relief effort in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Further, in tribute to the efforts of organizations working to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina, the Yankees wore Salvation Army patches on the right sleeves of their uniform shirts. On the front left tail of this jersey is the "Majestic" manufacturer's tag with a series of flag tags attached reading size "48" and another tag that reads "2005." The tag has been washed out, so it is unreadable. Inside the left seam of the jersey is a wash tag with code "0062" on it. On the left breast of the jersey is the "NY" logo in navy blue tackle twill. On the back is the player number "6" in navy blue tackle twill. On the back outside collar is the embroidered official "MLB" logo. On the right sleeve is the "Salvation Army" patch. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Major League Baseball Hologram. Accompanied by a Yankees-Steiner Collectibles LOA.
