In his first six full seasons, Don Mattingly was one of the best hitters in baseball. He won a batting title, led the league in hits, doubles and RBI, won Gold Glove Awards, and earned a Most Valuable Player Award. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with wash instructions on it with a size 42 flag tag. On the inside back collar is a strip tag with "Mattingly 89 1" embroidered on it. On the front left chest of the jersey is "NY team logo". On the back is the player number "23." All lettering and numbering is done in navy blue tackle twill. The jersey is autographed on back in blue maker and rates a 9. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
