On July 14, 1953, the baseball All-Star game was played at Crosley Field. The National League was victorious over the American league by the score of 5-1. This "Giles" ONL baseball has been signed by 25 members of the victorious 1953 National League All-Star team including twelve Hall Of Famers. The HOF'ers are Pee Wee Reese, Ralph Kiner, Duke Snider, Ed Matthews, Jackie Robinson, Enos Slaughter, Hoyt Wilhelm, Roy Campanella, Warren Spahn, Robin Roberts and Richie Ashburn. The sweet spot has been signed by manager Chuck Dressen and Ted Kluszewski and other signatures include Gil Hodges, Gerry Stanley, Gus Bell, Carl Furillo, Dave Williams, Curt Simmons, Granny Hammer and Harvey Haddix. All signatures are done in blue ink and rate an overall grade of 8-9 with only slight overall ink fading. The ball is evenly toned and in excellent overall condition. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
