Genuine Durham Smoking Tobacco, later known as Bull Durham, was manufactured in Durham, North Carolina from as early as 1860. The "Bullpen" in baseball gets its name from the fact that many ballparks used to have giant Bulls in the outfield advertising "Bull Durham" tobacco. This "Bull Durham" rolling tobacco advertisement features Major Chas A. Green and Captain A.C. Coleman of the 151st Field Artillery enjoying a fine Bull Durham cigarette out in the field. The advertisement measures 17" x 24" and has a small amount of staining giving it an overall condition of VG-EX. Also included are two original empty pouches of "Bull Durham" tobacco. Both pouches include the original manufacturer's label and drawstring. There is also an unused package of "Rizla" tobacco rolling papers embedded inside the advertisement. This advertisement has been professionally matted inside a 25-1/2" x 31-1/2" frame.
