This extravagant antique cash register was manufactured by the National Cash Register (NCR) Company in 1913. Over 17" tall with a 16" x 17" carved wood base, the ornately sculpted brass cabinet is done in the "dolphin style." A plaque on the front stamped "1284399 337" identifies it as a model 337 produced in 1913. There are 22 buttons and a glass pay window, where customers and clerks could see the price rung up. There are also several keyholes on the front for engaging different mechanism combinations. The front panel is hinged and lifts to reveal the key lock and computing dials. Resting atop the solid quarter sawn oak base is the wooden cash drawer, which contains nine compartments, above which is a white marble hand rest. All original with all parts included, in perfect working order with minimal tarnishing, overall EXMT condition. This item will be expensive to ship.
