Apollo XV launched on July 26, 1971 from Florida and landed on the Moon July 30, 1971. Its crew consisted of David Scott, James Irwin and Alfred Worden. The Apollo 15 mission was the first mission designed to explore the Moon over longer periods, greater ranges and with more instruments for collecting data than on previous missions. This is a black and white panoramic photo measuring 5" x 47" depicting the Moons surface and noting "9330 APOLLO 15 PAN 1971" along the top. Along the right edge of the photo is a series of gauges from inside the spacecraft that were included on the original negative. There is also a 3cm hole on the same edge, used to possibly display the photo. It is in overall excellent condition.
