Most frequently found among "National Bank Notes," the uncut sheet is a rarely seen oddity among other series' of notes such as this 18 note sheet of 1935E $1 Silver Certificates. National Bank Notes were delivered directly to the banks in sheets by the U.S. Treasury where they would have to be hand signed. It was then the responsibility of the individual bank to cut and distribute the individual notes. Later currency was cut directly at the Mint and therefore an uncut sheet is a collector's delight. There were only 100 or so of these sheets known at the time of their printing in 1935. These 18 Priest-Humphrey $1 Silver Certificates are mint fresh and Uncirculated, featuring a portrait of George Washington in the center and a small blue seal on the right. Professionally matted and framed to 23" x 26".
