Most frequently found among "National Bank Notes," the uncut sheet is a rarely seen oddity among other series' of notes such as this 16 note sheet of 1995 $5 bills. National Bank Notes were delivered directly to the banks in sheets by the U.S. Treasury where they would have to be hand signed. It was then the responsibility of the individual bank to cut and distribute the individual notes. Later currency was cut directly at the Mint and therefore an uncut sheet is a collector's delight. These 16 Withrow-Rubin $5 notes are mint fresh and Uncirculated, featuring a portrait of Abraham Lincoln in the center and a small green seal on the right. Professionally matted and framed to 17-1/2" x 26-1/2".
