The Sassanids were the last native dynasty to reign in Persia before the Arab conquest. This silver AR drachma was minted during the second reign of the Sassanid King Firuz I, who ruled for the second time from 459-484 A.D. Measuring 1" in diameter, it features a right-facing portrait of Firuz I on the front and an altar on the back. Slabbed and graded ICG-AU50.
